Testimonials

"Pete's attendance at our Summer Festival really enhanced the whole day.  He spoke eloquently, smiled constantly and proactively interacted with everyone there.  He visited every sport, patiently posing for photos and chatting to the young people.  He also presented an inspiring speech at the Opening Ceremony, he made it a day to remember for everyone."
Elizabeth Duggan, Active Surrey, School Games
"It was great to have Pete Waterfield with us on the frst day of the 2015 Oxfordshire Sainsbury's School Games Spring Festival.  There was a buzz on poolside; our competitors were keen to hear his story and get as many pictures and autographs as they could!  Pete was also kind enough to agree to an interview with our BBC Radio Oxford Young Reporters."
Harriet Olliffe, Oxfordshire School Games
"Peter Waterfield inspired the children who were delighted to meet a real live olympian.  The children gathered in groups to meet with him and ask him questions. He was a fantastic Sporting Champion and ambassador for sport.
Hayley Bullock, Somerset School Games

Biography:

Peter started diving aged 9 and he was doing lots of different sports at the time as he wasn’t very academic at school including  judo, karate, kickboxing, and football. He started to swim as it’s a life skill we all need and while in a swimming lesson he was watching the divers at the other end of the pool and decided it looked more exciting so he asked his dad if he could have a go and when he did he loved it and realised he was actually quite talented at it. Peter has now been to 4 Olympic games, including London 2012 where he was paired with Tom Daley in the syncro 10m event, narrowly missing out on a medal. Although his biggest achievement to date is winning a Silver medal at the Athens Olympics is 2004!
